Fatumata Massalee is a mother whose goal in life is to help enrich the lives of others. Ms. Massalee migrated to the United States many years ago to join her mother in escape of the brutal civil war that led to millions of deaths in her country of origin, West Africa, Liberia. Ms. Massalee took advantage of the American dream and attained a higher level of education acquiring a Master of Social Work degree from the graduate school of Social Welfare, Stony Brook University, and a Master of Public Health degree from Long Island University. Ms. Massalee has worked in numerous leadership capacities within the human and social service field. Through these experiences, she has acquired numerous skills some in which are, her excellent leadership, networking, and communication skills.

Ms. Massalee has worked in the field of human services for the past 18 years and has been dedicated to providing services to people from all walks of life. She has vowed to give back to society and to be a strong advocate for those in need. Ms. Massalee has a deep passion for the underprivileged, the vulnerable population, and civic community engagement. Ms. Massalee believes in fairness, being that voice through advocacy and outreach programs. 

Ms. Massalee has been recently selected to participate in The Leaders of Color, Class of 2022. Who are 95 passionate leaders accepted in, New York, Memphis, Washington DC, and Louisiana. Who cannot wait to get started on this important task, to move forward to achieve their personal goals in civil, political, and community engagement. Ms. Massalee is also a member of Zeta Phi Beta since 2021. Ms. Massalee was initiated through the Rho Omicron Zeta chapter in Staten Island, NY. Ms. Massalee is also the current Vice-President for the Staten Island Liberian Community Association.

Ms. Massalee has obtained memberships with the Association Social Work Board (ASWB), and the America Public Health Association (APHA).
